Connor discovered CrossFit in 2018 while searching for a training program that would deliver results in both performance and aesthetics. At the time he was seeking a competitive outlet to fill the gap left by playing multiple sports including football. He decided to explore CrossFit himself after watching a collaboration video featuring Ben Smith (the 2015 fittest man on earth) and Brian Shaw (four-time world’s strongest man).

Connor began coaching CrossFit in 2019 after completing his level 1 certification. At the time, he was studying primary school teaching but felt drawn to a field he was truly passionate about, one that still allows him to educate and guide others. In 2024 he completed his CrossFit Level 2, enhancing his coaching skills and professional development.

Over the years, Connor has coached thousands of classes and programmed for both athletes and gyms. His dedicated training has allowed him to compete at the CrossFit Semi Finals as one of the top athletes in Oceania.

A dedicated fan of the sport and a self-proclaimed programming nerd, Connor can talk endlessly about training for health and performance. When Connor is not coaching or training, you will find him eating, playing video games, spending time with family or listening to endless podcasts about the most random things.

Jade

After years of watching Connor pursue his own athletic endeavours, Jade finally decided to give it a go for herself in 2023. Now, CrossFit has become the best hour of her day. Jade currently works full-time following the completion of her double degree in Environmental Biology and Geography in 2022. Since graduating, she’s been on a journey to find work that positively impacts both people and the planet. Her own weight loss journey experience sparked a love for food and learning how it impacts the body. This led her to pursue a Certificate IV in Nutrition online, so that she can hopefully help others too.

Outside of work and study, Jade is a woman of many passions: bingeing terrible reality TV, playing cards with competitive flair, diving into deep conversations with loved ones, or planning her next getaway. Having once found her own “third circle,” Jade knows firsthand the physical and mental benefits of belonging to a supportive community. Now, she’s excited to help build a new one, where every member feels seen, welcomed, and supported.

Jackie

Coach

Jackie’s CrossFit journey began in 2013 at a boxing gym, where she was nudged into trying “Fight Gone Bad”, a CrossFit workout consisting of three 17-minute rounds of wall balls, deadlifts, box jumps, push press, and rowing. She chased that spark to a CrossFit gym in Canning Vale and entered her first Open in 2014. Since then, she’s earned her CrossFit Level 1 in 2019, Level 2 in 2020, and completed the CrossFit Gymnastics course to deepen her coaching toolkit.

With a background in dog grooming and a passion for photographing animals and fitness, Coach Jackie brings a unique blend of creativity, experience and compassion to Third Circle CrossFit. When she’s not coaching, you’ll find her hanging out with her beloved staffy Murph, being a mum to two sons, watching serial killer documentaries, or taking a Bali vacation.

Zola

Zola is a 6-year-old Cavoodle and the unofficial princess of Third Circle CrossFit. She loves hanging out at the gym with her mum and dad, keeping a watchful eye on all the action. Her favourite things include long walks on the beach, chicken treats and affectionate pats from friendly members. Her dislikes? Early mornings and flies. Zola takes her role very seriously, howling at unfamiliar visitors. But once you’re in the circle, she’s all cuddles and charm.
